Welcome to the Neepawa Lily Festival

It is with sad regrets that the committee of the Neepawa & Area Lily Festival advise that by motion at our last meeting on Dec. 11th - the organization is dissolving.

We have been struggling for the past few years with a shortage of volunteers to come onto the board to assist with the organizing and planning of the festival.  Our dedicated 200+ volunteers for the actual festival weekend are always happy to come out and assist but it is volunteers during the year that we have been struggling without.

The board felt that with a minimum of board members we were not able to provide the type of weekend that we have been able to in the past.

Reduction in the assistance with grants and sponsorship has also been a great concern to the committee.

We wish to thank all our volunteers, sponsors, vendors, local organizations and everyone else who partnered and assisted with the 18 years that the festival has been in existence.

We hope that you all will carry fond memories of the Lily Festival.  These are the thoughts that we are taking with us as the festival will be no longer.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments and support from all our visitors over the past 18 years.  I hope that we will all meet again sometime in our travels.

WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!!  The Annual General Meeting was held last night and 5 new people came on board with another 5 seriously considering joining the Board of Directors.

SO - mark July 24th, 25th and 26th, 2015 for the 19th Annual Neepawa & Area Lily Festival!!!!

Watch this page for more news as the committee works on bringing you a new, revised and exciting festival!!!

The Lily Festival is and always has been one of the most beautiful festivals in Manitoba…a “must attend” for everyone! Offering three days of lilies, music, food & family fun! This weekend was jam packed with Entertainment, Lily Show, Tangled Threads Quilt Show, Charlie Sage Memorial Fiddlers Contest, Parade, Street Vendors, Bus and Horse Tours, Cabarets, Auto Show & Shine, Kids Events at Riverbend Park, Margaret Laurence Antique/& Collectible Sale , Family Old Tyme Dance, 5K & 10K Run and 5K Walk and so much more!

The Board of Directors works very hard to organize a fun weekend and follow the Mission Statement:

          - To put the town of Neepawa on the map as the "World Lily Capital"

         -  To organize an annual Lily Festival during the third week of July, focusing on lilies, music, food and fun.
